FAQs

If it is not here, send the form and the duty manager answers.

How are your security officers recruited?

Every officer is directly employed by Ashgrove, never subcontracted. We interview in person, take up five years of references, run the checks the licensing regime requires and a few of our own, and every new officer works alongside a supervisor for their first month.

What will your security detail wear?

Whatever the job calls for. On a residential or corporate detail that is usually plain clothes chosen to blend with the setting; on a site or an event it is a smart uniform or high visibility. You decide, and we advise.

Are your officers insured?

Yes. Ashgrove carries public and employer's liability and professional indemnity cover, and the certificates are available before any contract starts.

Who do you employ?

Licensed security professionals, many from police, military and emergency-service backgrounds, and all of them people we would put in front of our own families. Around sixty officers at any time, with a core who have been with us for more than ten years.

How quickly can you start?

For guarding and key holding, usually within a week. For close protection, we can put an officer in place within twenty-four hours in London for an emergency, with a full team following. Consultancy starts with a call today.

Do you work outside London?

Yes, across the UK and, for close protection clients, abroad. The training arm runs courses in Farringdon and at client premises anywhere in the country.

Privacy policy

On this demonstration site the privacy policy is not yet written. On the live site it will sit here and cover the details you send through the contact form and the CCTV we operate at our own premises.
